the floaty hands are a bit off-putting, but its understandable if they had to do that for technical reasons.
otherwise you should look into using a shadow pc with oculus quest. its a viable budget alternative.
i can see it coming to ps5 with psvr.

i'm more of the type of PC gamer that would put the cash towards extra graphics hardware.
and then just to power VR. that would also need the extra graphics power as well.
VR is expensive.
I hope you guys can get the trailer eventually, the game looks really impressive.
I can't wait for the release of Pimax 8K X so I could finally upgrade my aging Vive, just in time for HL:A. The game will be free to anyone who purchased any part of the Valve Index kit by the end of 2019, so there's a good reason to accelerate my purchase of the Index controllers. Unless Valve uses some game mechanics that benefits greatly from the 120/144 Hz refresh-rate of the Index HMD, I guess the Pimax 8K X together with the Index controllers would be the best way to experience the game for at least a few months before some other high-end HMD gets announced...
This game better be good, for VR gaming's sake... and Valve's.
can't wait. time to buy a vr headset next year.

As someone said before, Half Life in VR is like a dream come true. A very nice thing to give it for free to us Index owners but even if I had to pay for it this would be amazing. For almost three years I've played nothing but VR games with a few exceptions in 2D and in all honesty, VR is a total revolution, it's just incredible when you're inside the game instead of just watching it on a screen. I can't wait for this, it looks stunning!
looks great, too bad it's VR though. VR has been kinda mixed with me.
